Manage your ChatSignals organisation settings, including team details, cost configuration, domain settings, tracking, taxonomy, and custom metrics.

As an Admin, you can manage global settings for your ChatSignals organisation from the Settings page.

Organisation Details

Go to Settings > Organisation.

Organisation Name

Your organisation's name appears throughout the platform. You can update it here.

Billing

View your current plan, usage statistics, and billing details. See Billing & Subscription for full details.

Team Members

Manage who has access to your organisation. See Managing Users & Permissions for details.

Cost to Serve

These settings help calculate the financial impact of your bot automation.

  1. Go to Settings > Organisation.
  2. Find the Cost to Serve section.
  3. Set your Currency (USD, GBP, EUR, etc.).
  4. Enter your team's average Hourly Rate.
  5. Click Save.

ChatSignals uses these values to estimate cost savings on the dashboard.

Domain Settings

Go to Settings > Domain to configure your website domain for content analysis.

  • Domain URL: Enter your primary website domain.
  • Quick Scan: Run a lightweight scan of your domain to discover pages and content.
  • Full Crawl: Trigger a comprehensive crawl that extracts content for knowledge sources and taxonomy.
  • SEO Locales: Select which language/region locales to use for SEO keyword analysis.

Domain crawling powers several features: it populates your knowledge base with website content, feeds into taxonomy extraction, and informs marketing keyword analysis.

Taxonomy Settings

Go to Settings > Taxonomy to manage your product taxonomy.

Your taxonomy is a structured breakdown of topics, products, and features discussed in customer conversations. It's used across the dashboard, conversation intelligence, and marketing insights for categorisation and filtering.

  • Extract Taxonomy: Run an extraction to automatically identify topics from your conversations and domain content.
  • Edit Items: Manually rename, reorganise, or archive taxonomy categories.
  • Versioning: Each extraction creates a new version. You can review changes before applying them.

Tracking

Go to Settings > Tracking to get the installation snippet for the ChatSignals tracking script.

This page provides everything you need to add user behaviour tracking to your website:

  • Install Script: A ready-to-copy code snippet pre-filled with your organisation ID and API URL. Paste it into your site's <head> tag.
  • Identify Users: Example code for calling ChatSignals.identify() when a user logs in, linking anonymous activity to a known user.
  • Track Custom Events: Example code for calling ChatSignals.track() to capture custom events. Pageviews, clicks, scrolls, form submissions, and JavaScript errors are captured automatically.
  • Allowed Domain: Shows which domain is currently configured for tracking validation, or "All domains" if unrestricted.

Tracked users appear on the Users page, where you can see sessions, page activity, and linked conversations.

Custom Metrics

Go to Settings > Metrics to define custom business metrics.

  • Create metrics with custom formulas based on conversation data.
  • Associate metrics with conversation threads for tracking.
  • View custom metric results on the dashboard.

Other Settings

  • Channels: Manage your HubSpot inbox groupings.
  • Data Sources: Manage HubSpot and other integrations.
  • Knowledge: Manage your bot's knowledge base.
  • Tracking: Install the tracking script on your website to capture user behaviour.
