Connecting HubSpot

Connect your HubSpot account to ChatSignals, create channels, add knowledge sources, and configure your AI bot.

This guide walks you through connecting HubSpot and getting your first AI bot running. The whole process takes a few minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Organisation

First, create your organisation. This is the workspace for your team, bots, and analytics.

  1. Enter your organisation name — typically your company or team name.
  2. Click "Create Organisation & Continue".

Step 2: Connect to HubSpot

Connect your HubSpot account so ChatSignals can read your conversations, provide insights, and send responses.

  1. Provide a name for your HubSpot integration (e.g., "Production HubSpot").
  2. Click "Connect HubSpot". You'll be redirected to HubSpot to authorise the connection.

Step 3: Create Your First Channel

Channels group your HubSpot inboxes. This lets you create specialised bots — for example, one for sales and another for support.

  1. Enter a name for your channel (e.g., "General Support").
  2. Select the HubSpot inboxes to include.
  3. Click "Create Channel & Continue".

Step 4: Add Knowledge Sources

Knowledge sources train your AI bot on how to respond. You can start with a few and add more over time.

  1. Choose a type:
    • Website URL — help articles, product pages, blog posts
    • Text Content — FAQs, internal policies, announcements
  2. Provide a name (e.g., "Pricing Page" or "Return Policy FAQ").
  3. Enter the URL or text content.
  4. Click "Add Source". Add as many as you need, then click "Continue".

What Happens Next

Your bot is automatically created with a default configuration. From here you can:

  1. Test Your Bot — Chat with your bot from the Your Bots page to check it's responding as expected.
  2. Manage knowledge sources — Go to Settings → Knowledge Sources to add, edit, or remove sources.
  3. View analytics — Check the Dashboard for conversation volume, resolution times, and team performance.
